Georgia May is within reach of her lifelong goal to be head chef of a Paris restaurant when she loses everything in one night. She decides to go to a small Pacific Northwest island to see the mother who abandoned her years ago and try to find answers. This is the first book by Rachel Linden I've read, but it won't be my last. This book has so much heart and a little magic and honestly came to me at the right time. Georgia is someone who's lost her way and I really loved how she slowly discovered her true passions through connecting with her mother, the island, and the irascible oyster farmer, Cole. Although there is a romance in here (and I love that she described Cole as resembling Ian Somerhalder from Vampire Diaries-swoon!), it isn't the main focus. Instead, this story is about Georgia and how she comes to realize what is really important. This was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it!
