Book: Echoes of Ether by Anna Höglin

Thank you Anna for this ARC ✨
This debut was such a captivating read! Although the pacing was a bit slow for me, and there were some duplicated lines and descriptions, the story was so intriguing, and the characters were so lovable and interesting that I really enjoyed reading this book and getting to know Erin, Kai, and Atlas.
The world-building was fascinating, with so many forms of Ether, the lessons in Aonair's history, and the military training. Though I would have loved to learn more about the current government, their tyrannical rule over the Realm, and the Underground Movement and its plans, the plot and twists were amazing. I was hooked from the very first line and wanted to know everything about the characters 😶
There were so many devastating moments, especially in Erin's backstory, that were hard to read but necessary to understand her state of mind. She struggled so much with her feelings and dark thoughts. She was always ready to be kicked off the team, feeling as though she didn't belong. She was so lost, and it was heartbreaking 🥺 I loved her.
Kai was such a special MMC, not in an overwhelming way, but in a calm and quiet one. Completely opposite to Atlas! He was, in fact, very loud and charming... which is why the ending was so mind-blowing 👀
I'm so intrigued by this story that I'm already ready for the sequel, and this debut hasn't even been released yet! 😅
