I've really enjoyed this series so far, and I was excited to finally get more of Rhys, aka Sin!
Bristol is a veterinarian trying to find a way out of an abusive relationship with Blake. While volunteering at a dog shelter in another town, she meets Rhys and the attraction between them is immediate. Rhys is a massive, intimidating biker who also happens to be the VP of his MC. Oh, and he has a pet bunny. Because apparently nothing says gruff, dangerous biker quite like going home to your bunny. 😂 And honestly? I love him for it.
Despite learning exactly who Rhys is, Bristol sees the gentle giant underneath the MC exterior. When she finally takes her chance to run from Blake, there's only one person she trusts enough to turn to. Rhys. She shows up at the clubhouse looking for protection, but not everyone is ready to welcome her with open arms. Chaos (the club president and Rhys's best friend) is particularly wary of Bristol and of how quickly Sin is becoming attached to her. Then new information starts coming to light. Suddenly there are questions surrounding Bristol, suspicion within the club, and plenty of finger-pointing. Is she really the sweet woman Sin believes her to be? Or has the club unknowingly welcomed a spy into their midst? And just how far is Sin willing to go for the woman he's falling for, even if it means choosing between Bristol and his club?
I really enjoyed Bristol and Sin together. There's something about watching this huge, intimidating MC VP become a protective gentle giant around the woman he loves that just works for me. But one of my FAVORITE things about this series is becoming the club itself. The text-message chats between the main club officers are absolutely PRICELESS. 😂 These men together are ridiculous, and those little interactions add so much personality to the club and its relationships. And Malice...
I cannot WAIT to get to that man's story. He is an absolute loose cannon, and every time he appears, I know there's a good chance chaos is about to follow. He's completely unhinged and SO much fun.
🎧 And can we talk about the audiobook? It's performed in duet style, which I LOVE. Jessica Threet voices the female dialogue while Hector Carrillo voices the male dialogue regardless of whose POV we're currently in. It makes conversations feel so much more natural and immersive, especially with a cast this full of big personalities. Both narrators did a fabulous job bringing this crazy MC family to life, and the duet performance made those already-hilarious club interactions even better.
At this point, I'm not just invested in the individual couples. I'm invested in this entire dysfunctional MC family. Give me protective bikers, complicated club loyalties, danger, romance, hilarious group chats, one slightly terrifying loose cannon, a pet bunny AND duet narration, and I'm happy. 🐰🏍️🎧🖤 I'm loving this series so much that I've already started looking into how I can get signed copies for my shelves. I think that says it all. ❤️
