"Daughter of the Sea & Son of Steel... All else be Damned."
For The Brother Gods and Onthea's love, what a rollercoaster! From the Prologue to the Epilogue, this story was so wild and enthralling that I couldn't put it down. Between the Vikings' lore and the warriors' and sailors' vibe, it was such an intriguing book!
This is a really dark world, especially for a woman in Hakland, with its tyrannical King and his despicable war forces. And that's exactly where we find our FMC, Halli the sailor, running for her life, forced to cross into the Wildlands with Wrath, the most terrifying and formidable warrior in Vigard, her enemy territory. Their story is not a pretty nor an easy one, but it's a story worth telling and truly beautiful to read.
Full of action, fights, pursuits, torture, and a lot of gore, but also with so many tender words, intimate scenes, and really sweet moments. I loved it and I'm craving more!
