I went into this not reading book one (Rook & Rebel), which this is an interconnected standalone, which works out because you can still follow the story! Ace & Ember took me on a wild ride of emotions and action. This book brings forth Evie and Aiden’s story. Evie is the sister of Rook, who is the leader of their Biker found family & business. Aiden (Ace) is Rook’s best friend and right hand in the business. Rook makes it clear that nobody within their circle is to date his sister, Evie. LIKE Ever! Evie on the other hand has a complete different thought about that, because for years she has had her eyes set on Aiden. Aiden keeps his distance and vows never to break the one cardinal rule, but he also has feelings for Evie. Evie is on a mission to find out what happened to her and Rook’s parents. She is an amazing Hacker but a woman full of sass and a lot of no fear attitude that gets her into a lot of trouble. Aiden is given the role of her personal bodyguard per Rook, and he steps in multiple times to save her hide. The story takes a darker turn when a stalker or someone that had something to do with their parents de@ths starts closing in on the crew and Evie. The plot twists a few times towards the mid to end of this book and had me doing a double take.

This story has a pretty good pace and is full of banter. I was cracking up so many times. Evie’s sass is something else. I enjoyed the relationship with Evie and Aiden. At a point in this book Evie does some shady blackmail that makes you want to shake her and ask her "WHAT THE H3LL are you doing, girl!!!!" Aiden I absolutely adored and the spicy scenes between these two definitely are some hot moments.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. Except one who shall not be named because I want to throttle him into the next sunset! LOL If you enjoy banter, found family, spice, mystery, fast bikes and a good read, I recommend this book on your list!

Thank you, Kate Crew, Avon Books, Harper Voyager and Netgalley for this amazing e-ARC copy. This review is of my own honest opinions and thoughts.
