Abrupt ending

Book: Tomorrow I'm in Charge! by Jörg Mühle

Rating: 2/5

This children's book explores the dynamic between three friends, two of which are fighting to be "in charge" of playtime. The illustrations are adorable, woodsy, and have a fairly neutral color palette. The overall theme of the book is about taking turns deciding what to do during playtime, however the book does not explore any conflict resolution between the two friends. There are also several incomplete sentences throughout the book, which may matter if trying to teach basic sentence structure and grammar. Overall, the book lacks clarity and resolution between the two friends, and does not explore communication (which seems to be needed to resolve the problem). The book ends abruptly however the illustrations are redeeming.
Overall I gave this story 2 stars.
