This book was so cute! It's described as having Studio Ghibli vibes and that's absolutely correct. I love the "you thought your adventure was over lol bet" trope, especially when it's a young woman who's trying SO hard the whole time.
Miuko is brave, clever, caring, and loyal - all the best features in a fairytale heroine. And Geiki is the best adventure companion - I love a Little Guy™️ who helps but also maybe makes things a little bit worse sometimes (but in a fun way) because ultimately he's Miuko's ride or die (fly or die?).
The audiobook narrator was perfect, she did the best voices for the different spirits and demons, I even have some bits just stuck in my head forever (a band of little monkey spirits screaming "DEMON LADY, DEMON LADY!"). I definitely think this is an instance where if you enjoy audiobooks at all, that's the best way to consume this!
