A Tense and Emotional Survival Story

I really loved Crashed Into My Kismet. It starts with a plane crash that leaves passengers and crew stranded on an island, trying to find help, care for the injured and survive everything the island throws at them. It kept me stressed and emotional because I needed to know who else had survived and if they would ever make it home.

Maya was such a strong main character. Even when she was scared and exhausted, she kept doing everything she could to help the people around her. Ryan was also one of my favorites. He was helpful, caring and did his best even while dealing with his own injuries. I loved seeing their connection grow through everything they had to survive together.

Gemma and Stephen were my favorite side characters, and I liked seeing the survivors rely on each other when things got worse. The title fits the story so well too, since kismet means fate or destiny. This was an emotional survival story with friendship, hope and characters trying their best when everything around them feels impossible. One part involving a child really broke my heart, so keep tissues nearby.

That cliffhanger left me with way too many questions, and I absolutely can’t wait for Book Two to see how the journey continues. Thank you to S. A. Thomas for the ARC.
