A woman's wedding day should be the best day of her life. For Della? That's so far from the truth. After stumbling upon a situation she couldn't reason with, she becomes a runway bride and hightails it out of town heading west to stay with her best friend's family. When she stops at a mechanic's shop to ask for help putting her snow chains on, she meets a very hot, shirtless Jaxon Wills working in his non-functional hobby shop.
While Della's bought the wrong chains for her tires, the bigger issue is the bad snowstorm that's happening in the mountain pass she has to get through to get to her destination. When she realizes she values her life more than she needs to crash at her best friend's parents' she agrees to staying at a ranch Jaxon "has a hookup at."
But when she talks to her best friend and realizes Jaxon is of the "Heart of Wills Ranch" she's accidentally stumbled into the orbit of ranch royalty. When the reality of her relationship and family uncover themselves, Della comes to realize that her stumbling into a nightmare on her wedding day was a blessing in disguise and gives her the opportunity to decide what she truly wants for her future, and if that means having a little fling with the hot family rancher, why not?
Will to Run is the first book in a new series and I really enjoyed it. Runaway bride, sunshine/sunshine, found family, small town romance. What's not to love?! Naturally, Jaxon was swoony and is very much a man written by a woman, but as someone who lives in Chicago, I wonder if I should pack up and take a drive out west to press my luck?
ANYWAY, I'll definitely be picking up the next book in the series when it's out and I can't wait to see which sibling's story is up next.
