Halfway Together was such a fun fake dating romance, and I really enjoyed watching Camille and Devan try to convince everyone that their relationship was real. They were complete opposites, which only made their arrangement, chemistry, and unexpected moments together even more entertaining.
Devan was easily my favorite. He was sweet, funny, wonderfully nerdy and so attentive to Camille. I especially loved how comfortable he was with her confidence and how he listened to what she wanted without ever making her feel like she needed to hold back. The thoughtful little ways he showed that he truly understood her made me love him even more.
Camille’s journey was about much more than falling in love. She had created a life that looked impressive from the outside, but that didn’t mean it was the life that made her happy. I enjoyed watching her slowly relax, connect with the people in West Tindale, and discover parts of herself she had pushed aside.
The Dungeons & Dragons scenes were so much fun, the West Tindale community brought plenty of warmth, and the spice definitely delivered. Beneath all the fun, this was also a story about finding your people and choosing a life that actually feels like your own.
Fake dating, found family, complete opposites, a sweet nerdy man, and plenty of spice? Yes, please! Definitely a five star read for me.
