Worth the Fall by Laura Beth really hit home for me.
Dr. Holly Carrington is forced to step away from her career as a trauma doctor after suffering a panic attack during an ER shift. Exhausted and uncertain of herself, she accepts a temporary position at a small-town clinic, where she meets rancher Grayson Hart.
Holly’s struggles with panic attacks felt especially personal because I suffer from them too. I understood that fear, exhaustion, and feeling like your own body has betrayed you.
I absolutely loved Grayson. He was steady, patient, helpful, and understanding. He became Holly’s rock without ever treating her like she was weak or broken. He supported her while still giving her the space to decide what kind of life she truly wanted.
The romance is a slow burn with plenty of chemistry and three spicy peppers. Sara Brodt brought so much emotion to the audiobook and made Holly’s most vulnerable moments feel incredibly real.
This was a heartfelt story about healing, finding yourself, and having the courage to choose a life that makes you happy.
