Retired Boston Bolts hockey player Camden Snow has fully accepted his fate as a forever bachelor… until he meets feisty Savannah. Savannah, a dating/sex columnist, is the undisputed queen of casual hookups. Commitment? Absolutely not.

So why is she suddenly imagining a future with known Playboy Camden?

Savannah decides to use Camden as material for a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days–esque column, deploying every dating faux pas in her arsenal. But Camden is proving, repeatedly, that he might actually be the exception rather than the rule.

Have Camden and Savannah finally found love, or will a blast from their pasts threaten their future?

Listen—this book? STEAMY. Camden and Savannah are both highly sexual and extremely enthusiastic about exploring dynamics together. Daddy Cam absolutely lives up to the name.

That’s not to say this book lacks emotional depth—because it absolutely doesn’t. Both Camden and Savannah are deeply broken people with unresolved family trauma (their parents are so not in line to win Parent of the Year), commitment issues, and a shared belief that love never sticks around. I loved how Brittanee Nicole explored found family and the idea of home as a person, not a place.

The age gap also does something smart: it bridges generations. Camden is the last of the OG Boston Bolts, while Savannah is best friends with the kids of his former teammates. Watching her build genuine relationships with women across both generations felt organic and intentional—and it sets up the next era of this world beautifully.

Which is why I’m already counting down to Paper Rings, book one in the upcoming spin-off series, The New Romantics. I will never, ever be tired of the Langfields and their aggressively large extended family.
