Haunt Me Properly was a fun and spicy autumn romance with great banter, a gorgeous historical setting, and more emotional depth than I expected.
I loved the grumpy and sunshine dynamic between Cora and Jeb. Their chemistry was strong from the beginning, but I especially appreciated how the story explored trust, privacy, consent, and accountability. Jeb was such a thoughtful character underneath his intimidating cemetery caretaker appearance, and the stories behind his tattoos made me love him even more.
The mystery surrounding Eleanor Bell and Foxglove Chapel added a meaningful historical element, and I enjoyed seeing Cora learn to look beyond the beautiful atmosphere and understand the real lives connected to the property.
The story was funny, romantic, emotional, and definitely spicy. I also liked that rebuilding trust took time instead of everything being fixed with one apology. If a grumpy cemetery caretaker and a sunshine event planner sound like your kind of autumn romance, this one is worth picking up.
