This is the second book in the series. You can find the review for the first one on my page if you are curious.
I was glad to jump back into that world, see Saya, Serun and other characters once more. It was satisfying to watch Saya slowly embrace who she is thanks to Serun, to tap into her magic, and learn to harness it.
The story progresses quite slowly, same as the romance. The author keeps us on the edge of our seats for both more intimacy and more news of Saya’s family.
Now, in the first book, I was hesitant about Jax and... I still am. It’s one of the “hear me out” moments, but I have a strange feeling there is something else behind his attitude.
And Cole...
Apart from that, I was happy to hear the epilogue, getting some news about that character and seeing that they don’t get easily influenced or gaslit.
Looking forward to the third book!
