A possessive demon, forbidden love, and delicious spice. Add Melissa Barr and James Cassidy's duet narration, and I was sold.

ALC Review | A Wicked Dance of Obsidian and Light by @ luciaskye.author
The sexual chemistry between Iris and Kaiden left me speechless. You could feel the tension in every teasing word and every moment they tried to hold back. With the duet narration, I felt like I was right there in the room with them, watching it all unfold.
The longing, the emotion, and the delicious spice made this a book I couldn't put down.
And Kaiden? Six-foot-four, tattooed, pierced, and riding a motorcycle. Add in his protective, possessive side, and I was sold. But his tenderness with Iris made me fall for him. I loved the quieter moments between them just as much as their heated chemistry. A demon hunter falling for the very kind she's supposed to hunt made their connection even more complicated.
The mysteries surrounding Iris's past kept me guessing and coming up with theories throughout the book. I also loved her friendship with Sam and the humor the side characters brought to the story. And that ending? I went straight into book two.
I did an immersive read with my Kindle, and Melissa Barr and James Cassidy made this such an incredible experience.
Melissa put so much emotion into Iris's voice. Her fear, vulnerability, frustration, and desire felt so real, and I thought she was perfect for this role. James Cassidy is already a favorite of mine, and his performance as Kaiden gave me every bit of the commanding presence, longing, and tenderness I wanted. Together, they made these characters feel alive.
