I absolutely loved Akarnae!
When Alex steps through a mysterious doorway and is transported to Medora, she suddenly finds herself attending a magical academy and discovering an entirely new world. What follows is an exciting adventure filled with unusual abilities, dangerous secrets, wonderful friendships, and plenty of intrigue.
Although this is the first book in The Medoran Chronicles, the story is packed with action and discovery. I was completely invested in Alex’s journey and loved exploring Medora alongside her.
Jordan and Bear were two of my favorite characters. Their friendship with Alex brought humor, warmth, and heart to the story. They became her anchors in this unfamiliar world, and I adored their developing found-family dynamic.
This Young Adult fantasy has no spice and reminded me of Harry Potter meeting The Chronicles of Narnia and X-Men.
And that cliffhanger! I desperately need to know what happens next. Thankfully, the wait for Raelia won’t be very long.
