I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. I started slowly with this book and wasn't fully engaged until about 15% in. However, after that point, I gradually found myself drawn into Grace’s journey of rediscovering herself after her divorce, particularly after her husband had shaken her confidence in herself and in relationships. This book is truly heartwarming and hopeful.
One of the aspects I enjoyed most was Grace’s development. Through an impromptu vacation her sister plans, we watch her slowly come back to life, find closure, and give romance another chance. We also follow August as he navigates writer’s block and other challenges. Set against the enchanting landscapes of Ireland, the story offers thoughtful insights, romantic moments, and plenty of humour that made me laugh.
One aspect I would have liked to see more of is August's point of view. Overall, it’s a beautiful book about second chances and taking risks that push us beyond our comfort zones. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
