Last year, acquaintances Dane and Noelle's cheating exes torpedoed their relationships. This year? They're getting married... to each other. When they're both invited to the wedding: Dane to wrangle their daughters, Noelle as a coworker. When there's a hotel mix-up, Dane and Noelle share a room and fake date, much to the chagrin of their horrid exes.
The forced proximity in this one was top notch! This was my first L.B. Dunbar book, and it certainly won't be my last. The tensionnnnn before they decided to throw caution to the wind was delicious. As someone personally jaded by dating and relationships, the natural progression of their relationship from friend and brother of Angelica to ... more felt really natural and like I could've witnessed it happen at the bar next to me. ALSO, love that this is the first in a series. I will absolutely be reading the others as they come out.
Merry eXes was also great on audio. The bossy Dane chapters were definitely my favorite and gets my stamp of approval.
All in all, this was just a great holiday story and a great intro to L.B. Dunbar.
