This story follows Serena as she faces the Queen’s Trials, where she must prove she’s worthy of ruling and fit to lead the kingdom. But these trials are anything but easy—she’s forced to make difficult, deadly choices that will keep you guessing at every turn.
From beginning to end, this book had me in complete shock and awe. There are twists, revelations, and moments that had me questioning everything, yet I absolutely could not put the story down. We get a deeper look into Serena’s past and her story, while still leaving just enough unanswered questions for our imaginations to run wild—and for the next book to hopefully fill in the gaps.
And that cliffhanger?! Talk about leaving me questioning what could be going on!
If you love fantasy, strong characters, dangerous trials, unexpected twists, and stories that keep you turning the pages, I highly recommend picking this one up. I cannot wait to see what comes next for Serena!
