Book: Christmas Chaos by Kayla Johns

Christmas Chaos was a fun fake-dating romance that made me smile. I expected the title to mean complete chaos, but it was more sweet and cute than wild. The holiday setting, family gatherings and awkward moments gave the story a fun seasonal feeling.
Shayla starts the story in full panic mode after making one little lie much bigger than she planned. Noah agrees to help her, which makes the situation even more entertaining because he is the older brother of Shayla’s best friend, Talia. I liked seeing Shayla and Noah trying to act normal while everyone around them had questions and opinions.
What I enjoyed most was Shayla and Noah’s dynamic. They were cute together, their conversations had a playful feeling, and I liked how comfortable they became around each other. Talia, Shayla’s parents and Aunt Carol added to the holiday madness without taking over their story.
This was a short read, but it had enough humor and cute moments to make it enjoyable. I had a good time reading it, and it was a nice book to pick up during the season.
