A fitting conclusion to the trilogy

Book: Of Hollowed Stars by Rowyn Adelaide

Of Hollowed Stars is a dark fantasy, the third instalment in the Fate of the Embered Series and the conclusion of the first trilogy in this universe. The stakes are high in OHS, the villains be villianing and it's up to Seryn to finally step fully into her powers. Book two (Of Blooming Embers) ended on a cliffhanger and the action picks up right away in OHS.

There are so many threads of family in this instalment - biological, adopted and found. The strength that the characters draw from each other and their family, and the consequences of what must occur to save the day. There are epic battles, witty banter, romance and friendship.

OHS is another example of Rowyn's lyrical writing, transporting me into this magical universe and really making me feel the tension, the fear, the triumph and of course, the love. There were laughs, there were tears, and while Gavrel and Seryn's story may have concluded for now, there is a feeling that there is so much more to come in the Fate of the Embered series. I for one, cannot wait.
