Book: All the Things We Never Knew by Sophie Ranald

A warm, engaging read that will leave you smiling and maybe a little teary-eyed.

All the Things We Never Knew will be an emotional roller coaster for many. Anna and Gray go from being a married couple of 18 years with 2 children, Lulu and Barney, to a very strange and weird relationship with his wife, children and another woman named Laurel.
Between asking Anna to do the unimaginable thing when it comes to Laurel, the fact Gray also hides a cancer diagnosis. Laurel’s “woe is me” act will have you rolling your eyes and telling her she needs to wake up and move on, he’s married and SHE’s the other woman.

I’ve always enjoyed Sophie Ranald’s books, they are quirky, funny and full of happy feels, but this one is different. This story is a different writing style.
You know when you pick up a book thinking it’ll be a light read and then suddenly you’re staying up way too late because you need to know what happens? That was me with this one. It’s heartfelt, and the characters feel so real, like people you might actually know. They mess up, they grow and you can’t help but root for them even when you want to shake them a little. I laughed out loud more than once and then out of nowhere there were these emotional moments that hit hard.
It’s not just a romance, it’s more about second chances, forgiveness, and figuring yourself out when life doesn’t go as you planned. If you like books that make you laugh, cry and feel like you’re part of the story, you’ll love this one.
