A Snake Among Swans is a dark, beautifully written fantasy filled with vengeful women, hidden magic, political rebellion, and court intrigue. Tilde and Elise are fierce, complicated characters whose stories become deeply intertwined as they fight against a kingdom shaped by war, religion, family, and vendetta.
I loved the sapphic slow-burn romance, but the story’s exploration of power—and the terrible cost of wielding it—was what truly captivated me. The atmosphere was haunting, the stakes felt incredibly high, and the twists kept me completely invested. This was my first Hannah Kaner book, but it certainly won’t be my last!
