A Cozy Paranormal Christmas Read

Book: A Midnight Christmas by Sereyna Vale

A Midnight Christmas was such a good story for the season. I really liked the dark Christmas atmosphere in Hallow-mere, with all the lights, lanterns, old traditions, and the Midnight Market hiding a much stranger side of the town.

Rowena comes back carrying a lot from her past, and I felt for her as the story slowly showed what she had been blaming herself for all this time. There is grief in this book, but it still has a cozy feeling around it that worked really well for me. I also liked that the mystery was connected to the town itself and its old secrets, instead of being there only to add drama.

Elias and Rowena had a fun connection, especially with her dry personality and his calmer way of dealing with her. Zero was also a great addition, always staying close to Rowena when she needed him. The ending gave me the closure I wanted and wrapped everything up nicely. If you like romance, paranormal mystery, and a little darkness in a holiday story, this is a great choice.
