I am in shock. We just got to the good part, and the end page just slapped me in the face!
I love the FMC, her personality, her journey. Her background is very much evident in her pre-journey self, and watching (reading) her shed constraint and familial expectations like they were the shackles they are was so freeing.
Experiencing someone (fictional or not) explore their sexuality after being suppressed by either societal or spousal influences is so cathartic the feeling is palpable.
The vulnerability and trust in herself and her partners that Dr. Bonds needed to allow herself to fully let go of the sexual suppression that her ex forced upon her must have been massive. The experiences she was exposed to first gave her just enough insight into her sexuality to realize that she thrived in the subspace, and I feel that she was lucky to have found that quality so quickly.
This was such an amazingly well thought out story, and I can't wait for the second half!
