I received this as an arc directly from the author. My opinions, however, are my own.
I enjoyed the story. I love the way SB ties in scientific words or phrases and their meanings into real world applications. There were a few that actually hit home for me.
These characters are in a relationship that is not widely accepted. SB does a wonderful job of letting us see what it’s like to be in that sort of relationship. The inner turmoil of “will my family accept it?“ Or “what do people think when they look at me“ and just the overall fear of what others think.
I love how SB shows us that but also shows these characters strength by continuing the relationship anyway. By standing up for themselves to the company they’ve given so much to.
It is easy to give up something you love, but more difficult to keep it.
I do think it was a little too spicy for my taste. That said the spice was relevant to the relationship building between the three characters.
