Toshiro Marconi is the Leonardo da Vinci of the Information age. It is 1999 and his invention, the Transporter Pad, has re-ordered society and made his employer, Hitek corporation, the biggest and richest corporation in the world. To many in the world he is a hero, and to others he is a villain, but he does not care. His sole focus is his latest initiative, the project code-named Da Vinci. Driven to near madness by his obsession, Marconi disappears without a trace, taking the Da Vinci project—and all of Hitek’s secrets—with him. With the stakes at an all-time high, Hitek dispatches Alex Dolby, a young executive with a mysterious past, to find both Marconi and the information he stole. As the clock ticks, Dolby realizes he’s not the only one chasing Marconi. Others are, too and they want him—dead or alive. Finding Marconi may be the easy part; surviving what’s been waiting for Alex Dolby is another matter entirely. With enemies closing in and the truth slipping further out of reach, Dolby discovers he isn’t just searching for answers—he’s being hunted by a past that refuses to stay hidden.
